Tradewind are recruiting for a class teacher at a popular school located In Wigan. This is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives as you cover a maternity leave from September until July 2027.

Position Details:

Role: Year 1 Primary Teacher

Contract: September to July 2027 (maternity cover)

Working Hours: 5 days a week, 8.15 am to 3.30 pm

Salary: Daily pay rates based on main pay scales.

Your Responsibilities:

As the Year 1 Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a love for learning among your young pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons aligned with the curriculum.

Providing a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students.

Monitoring and tracking students' progress, providing timely feedback.

Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the overall development of the students.

Instilling a passion for learning and helping students reach their full potential.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• Be a qualified teacher with QTS
• Experience of working within KS1
• Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
• Experience of supporting pupils with phonics
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
