CNC Machinist\nCambridge\n£40,000 - £45,000 per annum\nService Service is recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing business based in Cambridge.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to join a modern machine shop, programming, setting and operating a range of CNC turning and milling machines while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high quality standards.\nKey Responsibilities\n * Program, set and operate CNC turning and milling machines\n * Produce high-precision components to engineering drawings and specifications\n * Create, edit and optimise CNC programs to improve efficiency and quality\n * Select tooling, fixtures and machining strategies for a variety of components\n * Troubleshoot machining, tooling and programming issues\n * Support continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop\n * Carry out machine maintenance and ensure equipment is operating effectively\n * Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping\nAbout You\n * Proven CNC machining experience within a precision engineering environment\n * Strong programming, setting and operating experience across turning and/or milling disciplines\n * Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings\n * Experience producing high-precision components to tight tolerances\n * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\n * Knowledge of Mazak, Citizen, Matsuura or similar CNC machinery would be advantageous\nWhat's on Offer\n * £40,000 - £45,000 per annum\n * Rotating shift pattern:\n * Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 2:00pm, Friday 6:00am - 1:00pm\n * Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday 12:45pm - 6:45pm\n * Opportunity to work with advanced CNC machinery and complex components\n * Ongoing training and development opportunities\n * Stable, long-term position within a growing manufacturing business\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded engineering company offering varied work, modern equipment and genuine long-term career prospects.\nPlease click “Apply Now” and a member of the Service Service team will be in touch to discuss your application
